I am a Support Worker for The Salvation Army HomeCare. I provide household management and personal care for a range of clients.
This type of work is great because I get to help people stay in their homes which most people take for granted – and they really appreciate it which is gratifying. I also enjoy the relationships I form with my clients, and I really look forward to seeing them.
It is The Salvation Army’s business to care, so it makes sense that it’s HomeCare service not only provides top quality, professional household management and personal care, but they provide it with a loving touch. This was attractive when I was looking for a service to work for.
I work exclusively for HomeCare because the organisation allows me the flexibility to have the work-life balance I desire. I heard about HomeCare through another Support Worker, and when I looked into it, I knew they were who I wanted to work for.
HomeCare also worked with me on a Career Development Plan that allows me to upskill on the latest practices, so I can provide the best care possible and progress to the level of responsibility I desire.
